The Record Store Day 2020 limited edition vinyl pressing of Galaxie 500’s Copenhagen was made possible by the support of Dogfish Head Craft Brewed Ales. And to accompany the release, Sam Calagione at Dogfish Head made a limited edition beer:

“Coping Haven is a Danish-style Rye Pilsner brewed from ingredients inspired by historical Danish brewing tradition. It combines floor-malted light golden pilsner malt, hearty malted rye and a blend of Moravian hops to create a characterful lager with floral and herbal hop aroma with a bready, gently spicy malt flavor. Fermented with the original Danish lager yeast, Coping Haven finishes clean and dry.”

Unfortunately, the pandemic presented a challenge not only for Record Store Day events but for interstate beer distribution. Coping Haven will be available only at the Dogfish Head Brewing & Eats location in Rehoboth Beach DE, selling in 4-Packs to go as well as on draft.
